(Vancouver, BC) -- BC Wheelchair Basketball Society is excited to announce the official partners and sponsors for HOOPFEST, their annual fundraiser. On May 21st, businesses and organizations will compete in friendly wheelchair basketball games to raise money for athletes with a disability across the province.

“We’ve got an amazing lineup of sponsors for this event,” said BC Wheelchair Basketball Society Executive Director, Sian Blyth. “Thanks to the generosity of all of these businesses, people with disabilities from across the province will have the opportunity to experience the life-changing benefits of wheelchair basketball.”

YVR is the Presenting Sponsor of HOOPFEST and will also be entering team. Other partners include:

Since 1994, HOOPFEST has raised funds for the hundreds of wheelchair basketball players across the province from the junior to the recreational to the elite level. This year, HOOPFEST will also support the Let’s Play program, which uses specially designed sports wheelchairs to help children with disabilities under 12 to experience the many benefits of play.
