Heading to the Paralympics
A number of our athletes and coaches will be representing their country at the upcoming Paralympics in London, England this summer.
Janet McLachlan, Elisha Williams, Jessica Vliegenthart, and Marni Abbott-Peter (coach) will be contributing their world-class skills to Team Canada; Matt Buchi goes as part of the US Women’s coaching staff; and Richard Peter and Bo Hedges will play major roles with the Men’s National team. All these athletes and coaches continue our rich history of basketball excellence at home and around the world.
Through the years, our athletes have been able to develop their skills in an atmosphere that nurtures athletic excellence from the grass roots levels to podium success internationally. The range of basketball experience within our organization fosters the growth and development of these high performance athletes, be it from the veteran players who have been there before or the up-and-coming high performance athletes of tomorrow.
Just like our athletes, our administrative success is world-leading. Our board of directors, staff members, along with many supporters, has played a role in all these athletes striving for Gold in London. We wish you all well in representing yourself, your country, and our organization at London 2012.
