Last Sunday (November 4) at the Tim Frick Fall City League, we welcomed family and friends of the City Leaguers to share our sport. 

13 family members and friends join the night at Douglas College in New Westminster and tried wheelchair basketball for the first time. Coach Alrey and the regular City Leaguers introduced some basic skills to the new faces and played some fun games. Then all the participants were devided into 4 teams and played 5 on 5 games.

There are lots of smiles and laughs, and even hard work! Three individuals received "Hustle" awards at the end.

BCWBS would like to thank our City Leaguers for sharing our sport with their family and friends and also thank their family and friends for joining us. 

If you are interested in playing in the Tim Frick City League, the winter session starts in January so please keep your eye on our website and Facebook page for the information coming up shortly.

The Tim Frick City League welcomes everyone who wants to learn or enjoy wheelchair basketball, new or veterans, with variety levels of ability including spinal cord injury, spina bifida, CP, amputees, knee injury, hip injury, able-bodied, and more! For a quality sport experience, the ability to follow a sequence of instruction and good upper body mobility to use a manual wheelchair are required.
