2019 Junior Challenge was a huge success
March 20, 2019 On March 16 & 17, BC Wheelchair Basketball hosted our annual Junior Challenge. This year we debuted the Let's Play Division, and had 21 youth, aged 8-12 years join us for the day. All weekend long we had guest coaches, our 2019 Canada Games team athletes and a variety of parents, volunteers and staff who made this a fun games and skills filled day for everyone. Overall 80+ people took part in one program or another on March 16th. The focus on March 17th was more on skill development for the older junior athletes. read more...
BC Wheelchair Basketball saddened by the passing of Paralympian Ian Chan.
March 19, 2019 BC Wheelchair Basketball joins BC Wheelchair Sports and Wheelchair Rugby Canada in mourning the passing of Paralympian Ian Chan. Ian was an incredible young man and was part of a huge extended community and dear friend and mentor to many. He was known to so many of the wheelchair basketball community as well and once played in our BC- CWBL league. We are deeply saddened by his sudden passing and extend our thoughts and prayers to the his family and the wheelchair rugby community. read more...
