Event Information
Wheelchair Basketball is one of the many sports participating in the Canada Winter Games, a national multi-sport competition for Canadian youth. These games take place every 4 years in rotating cities across Canada. A provincial/territorial team can include a maximum of 12 athletes in the sport of wheelchair basketball, male or female. Eligible athletes competing in wheelchair basketball at the Canada Games are 24 years of age or under as of January 1 of the year of the Games. The team is supported by 2 coaches and 1 manager.
Who can participate?
Athletes under 24 years of age, who are born after January 1, 1999. Both male and female athletes will make up Team BC.
Team BC is gearing up for the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown, PEI taking place February 2023. Look for our full team announcement November 2022.
