2013 National Wheelchair Basketball Teams Named - Four BC Athletes Selected
January 09, 2013 From Wheelchair Basketball Canada Press Release: January 9, 2013 (Las Vegas, NV) Wheelchair Basketball Canada is pleased to announce the names of the 24 athletes selected to represent Canada in 2013 as members of the Senior Men’s and Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball Teams. Centre for Performance Camp Led by Junior National Team Coach Steve Bialowas
December 13, 2012 19 junior athletes gathered in Langley last weekend for the 3rd annual Centre for Performance camp hosted by Wheelchair Basketball Canad and BCWBS and led by Coach Steve Bialowas. The weekend began with a chair skills session ran by the Performance Institutes, world class trainer Steve Ramsbottom. Telus Vancouver Community Board Supports Let's Play While Santa Visits Sunny Hill
December 13, 2012 Santa and the Let’s Play crew visited Sunny Hill and participated in an afternoon of fun games including modified versions of baseball, basketball, rugby and hockey. Laughter and carols echoed in the hospital halls as the children, parents and therapists played. Let’s Play in partnership with BC Wheelchair Sports Association is planning on providing a regular program at Sunny Hill for in-patients and age appropriate community members. read more...
